Travel to and around Montenegro is fairly straightforward and below you’ll find details on flights, ferries. buses, trains and car hire. If you are planning a relaxing holiday with one or two day trips and some evenings out then holidaying without a hire car is entirely possible. Buses and taxis are cheap in Montenegro – a journey from the apartment to Kotor Stari Grad (Old Town) costs approx €4. The taxis of the Red Taxi Company are distinctive (they are red) and can be called on 19719.
There is also a bicycle hire shop about 2km along the road towards Kotor.
If you prefer to explore further afield and want the freedom a hire car brings then you have the advantage of secure parking right outside the apartment which is a real bonus during the summer months when parking spaces are in demand.
